In 1978 Dr.  William Kerns opened his medical practice in a small house on Royal Avenue.   Since then Front Royal Family Practice has consistently focused on meeting the needs of our community and has grown to seven Family Medicine Board Certified Attending Physicians and 2 Board Certified Family Nurse practitioners. 

In 1998 we affiliated with Virginia Commonwealth University and Valley Health System to form the Shenandoah Valley Family Practice Residency, through which we have 15 licensed physicians who are completing specialty training in Family Medicine under the tutelage of our Attending Physicians.

                We provide comprehensive care for families and individuals through all stages of life.  Our physicians and staff value our personal relationships with patients.  We coordinate all aspects of our patients’ medical care; over 90% of health issues, from pregnancy to diseases of old age, can be taken care of right here in our spacious and modern Front Royal office.
